John Travolta's former gay lover reveals details of love affair in 1980s

A former lover of Grease actor John Travolta has sold his story to the National Enquirer detailing his love affair with the actor in the 1980s.

According to the report, Doug Gotterba served as Travolta’s personal pilot. He confirms that they became lovers on September 21, 1981 saying, “I know the date because I still have the log books and records.”

The former pilot goes on to claim that Travolta’s “sexual appetite was insatiable,” Radar Online reports, noting that the two made a sex tape together. At the time Travolta even suggested making a video with multiple male partners.

He goes on to explain, “We flew into Monterey, Calif., and went up to the Highlands resort in Carmel. We had a wonderful dinner with a fantastic bottle of Merlot, and I got the sense I was being courted.” Gotterba states that the Face/Off actor then asked if he’d like to go back to his room for “a massage.”

“I’d already prepared myself for something like that, so I said, ‘Sure, why not? I went back to his room, showered and came out wearing only a towel. John said, ‘Okay, lie down here on the bed.’ He gave me a massage – and it turned into something else!,” he explains.

The story comes just months after Travolta was accused of sexually assaulting a masseur. A handful of other masseurs came out of the woodwork shortly after “John Doe's” claims. Thus far, Travolta and the accusing men have not made it to court to clear the validity of the stories.

Gotterba notes that the last time he saw Travolta was shortly after he married actress Kelly Preston. He explains that they had their last and final discussion during a walk on the beach saying, “We were making small talk when suddenly, I blurted out, ‘So, John, tell me. Now that you’re married, do you still prefer men – or women?’ He looked me straight in the eye and said, ‘Well, Doug, I still prefer men!' I said, ‘okay.’ And that’s the last time we saw each other.”
