Actor Jon Cryer was involved in a bicycle accident during a triathlon in California Sunday.
The Associated Press reported that the actor lost control of his bike during the 26th Annual Nautical Malibu Triathlon and hit pavement skidding. He suffered scrapes along his left side, but no bones were broken.
The fall kept Cryer from finishing the 18-mile race, according to E!.
Fortunately, Cryer was wearing a helmet and promptly received medical attention. He also pledged to participate in next year’s triathlon.
"When I saw it, I said, 'Really?!'" he said in New York Tuesday of a hangnail on his scraped hand.
Cryer is best known for his Emmy-winning work on the CBS sitcom Two and a Half Men, which begins its 10th season Sept. 27.
His movies include Superman IV: The Quest for Peace (1987) and Hot Shots (1991), which co-starred his former Men co-star Charlie Sheen.
The triathlon raised over $1 million for Children's Hospital Los Angeles Pediatric Cancer Research Program. Its other participants included James Marsden, Rainn Wilson, Alison Sweeney, Jillian Michaels and Josh Hopkins.
