While promoting her new film Hit and Run talks about how her co-star Dax Shepard, from Parenthood got her to feature in the film, on her character and other projects she is working on.
Shepard did not have to guilt his friend Bryant into accepting the role because she was genuinely interested in the script. The gorgeous actress told Ebony “Aside from the fact that he’s a really good friend of mine, he wrote a really, really awesome script, so that’s where it all starts. None of us who he asked did it because we were doing him a favor ... everyone did it because he wrote a kick-ass script. It is a no-brainer.”
Bryant plays the character Neve who is with Bradley Cooper’s character, but once was involved with Dax Shepard’s character. Bryant described Neve as “on the other side of the tracks. She’s kind of like a bad ass. She’s just stinky, got a little attitude. She’s fun.”
The Parenthood star is keeping busy. This fall she will be returning with Shepard for season four and she is also adding screenwriter to her list of titles.
“My writing partner and I … have our feature that we’re writing and our goal is to finish that. I also have a TV show, an unscripted TV show involving shopping that I’m pitching.” She also tells Ebony about a web series she has in the works, “I have a web series that is going to air on Youtube on the Conversation channel in September that I’m executive producer of and host of.”
She is also in talks to join the About Last Night remake. The Hollywood Reporter says the project will feature an all-black cast with Kevin Hart, Michael Ealy and Regina King. Steve Pink signed on to be the director.
The remake was originally a play in 1874 titled Sexual Perversity in Chicago, which later got made into a film in 1986 featuring Rob Lowe and Demi Moore.
