Kate Middleton stuns in gold Alexander McQueen gown at Malaysian State Dinner

By Allison Cordaro,

Thursday evening, the Duchess of Cambridge glittered like a crown jewel in a white and gold Alexander McQueen gown at the Malaysian State Dinner.

The Huffington Post revealed photos of the queen-to-be in a floor length dress created by the late designer, Alexander McQueen.

According to Us Weekly, the golden floral embroidery is meant to resemble Malaysia's national flower, the hibiscus.

William joked about how elegantly his wife and the other female guests were quipping that he had his “heels on tonight.”

Prince William and Duchess Kate were two of 400 guests who joined the king and queen of Malaysia as well as the prime minister and his wife for dinner. The 30-year-old royal’s manners were impeccable: she delivered a low curtsey when His Majesty and the Queen entered the room. Guests were treated to a fusion of British and Asian inspired cuisine.

The Duke and Duchess are three days into their Southeast Asia royal tour, and the Duchess has already displayed seven different outfits, including wearing a Jenny Packham dress while delivering her first overseas speech.
