'Modern Family' star Eric Stonestreet removed from baseball game

Stonestreet was removed by security following an argument at a Dodgers game

At this weekend's MLB baseball game involving the L.A. Dodgers and the St. Louis Cardinals, Modern Family star Eric Stonestreet was escorted out by security following an argument with a Cardinals fan.

According to TMZ, Stonestreet said something to the Cardinals fan after the fan insulted a few Dodgers players. The argument never escalated to anything more than words. Both Stonestreet and the fan were then escorted from their seats.

While the Daily Mail says the 41-year-old has always been a sports fan, this time he may have taken it too far. The Emmy award winner, who recently settled a lawsuit with the show, took to Twitter to clarify what happened.

"i did NOT get kicked out of the Dodgers game last night," Stonestreet tweeted. "did i get escorted to the top of the stairs by security? yes. yes i sure did."

This incident, however minor, has gotten Stonestreet some attention, and this upcoming Emmy season will bring even more. With the show nominated for 14 awards and Stonestreet himself up for best supporting actor, the actor may have to settle another argument; where to place his awards.
