The annual New York Comic Con in October will feature two high profile horror remakes from Sony Pictures, Carrie and Evil Dead.
According to ComingSoon.net, both films will get full fledged panels with members of the cast and crew coming for each respective film.
The Carrie panel will feature stars Chloe Grace Moretz and Julianne Moore, taking over for Sissy Spacek and Piper Laurie from the 1976 original, as well as producer Kevin Misher and director Kimberly Peirce.
The Evil Dead panel will include star Jane Levy, producer and star of the original series of films Bruce Campbell and director Fede Alvarez. The original Evil Dead was released in 1981 and directed by Spider-Man director Sam Raimi. It was followed by two sequels, Evil Dead II in 1987 and Army of Darkness in 1992.
The official website for New York Comic Con says that the panels for the films will be held from 3:45-4:45 on October 13.
New York Comic Con will run from October 11-14 at the Javits Center in New York City. Carrie will be released March 15, 2013. Evil Dead will be released April 12, 2013.
