Whitman reprises her role as Michael Cera’s girlfriend

Parenthood season 4 premiered this Tuesday, but actress Mae Whitman is already focused on guest starring in Arrested Development. She appeared before as Michael Cera’s love interest Ann Veal and she was not going to pass up the opportunity to come back on the show.

Whitman told Hollywood.com: "I've always been like 'Oh I don't want to give anything away,' but I definitely, definitely wouldn't ever let this chance go by without being a part of it…yes, you can definitely expect to find a little bit of Ann hiding in the background somewhere, at least."

Ann Veal was described as a plain and awkward character by Complex Magazine. However, she was a favorite on the show because of all the abuse she endured from the rest of the characters.

Arrested Develoment has begun shooting season 4, which is scheduled to fall premiere on Netflix in 2013.

To refresh your memory below is a video of the compelling on-screen chemistry between Mae Whitman and Michael Cera.
