As most of you may know, Parks and Recreation season five kicked off this past Thursday with Leslie Knope and Andy Dwyer visiting their loved ones in our nation’s capital. As a special treat, NBC released three videos of the dimwitted Andy exploring Washington, D.C.
If you want your tour guide to present the most accurate facts, then Andy Dwyer is not your guy. However, if you want whatever soft drink you would be drinking while touring D.C. to squirt out of your nose, look no further. Watch Andy explain that the Washington Monument got its name because George Washington was well endowed.
Andy’s secret identity, Bert Macklin, goes on his biggest mission yet infiltrating the FBI. It takes a man with a very particular set of skills, much intelligence and stealth. Unfortunately for Macklin, he has neither of those attributes. Fortunately for us, we get to see Macklin make a fool of himself on the streets of Washington, D.C. to get the FBI to arrest him.
In the final clip of Andy Dwyer, it becomes evident that Andy may have watched National Treasure a few too many times. He attempts to unravel the underground city beneath Washington, D.C. that has a ”buttload” of gold.
