Prince Harry makes his first public appearance in London after Vegas scandal

By Kristen Spicker,

Prince Harry made his first public appearance after his Las Vegas partying scandal today in London at the WellChild Awards Ceremony.

A patron of the charity organization, Harry gave a speech and presented the award for Most Inspirational Child. The prince also met six-year-old Alex Logan, a leukemia patient, at the event.

According to the Daily Mail, when asked what he planned on saying to Prince Harry, Logan replied, “I’m glad you’ve got your clothes on Prince Harry.”

The prince has remained absent from the London 2012 Paralympic Games, where he, his brother Prince William and the Duchess of Cambridge are also scheduled to appear.

A representative for the Royal Family told TMZ “The Duke and Duchess [of Cambridge] and Prince Harry will attend select events during the Games, including goalball, cycling, swimming and Athletics.”

In the two weeks since Harry’s nude photos hit the internet, the prince remained hidden from the public eye, reportedly keeping a low profile with girlfriend Cressida Bonas.

Although the Vegas incident isn’t Harry’s first scandal, a source said to The Mirror, “He is keen to get his first public appearance out of the way so he can try to carry on as normal and this behind him.”
