Aspiring Chicago rapper Lil Jojo died Tuesday in Chicago after being shot in the back.
The 18-year-old Joseph Coleman was riding his bike on the 6900 block of South Princeton Avenue, when a car pulled up and shot him around 7:30 p.m., according to The Huffington Post.
Hours later, another up-and-coming South Side Chicago rapper, Chief Keef, tweeted, “Its Sad Cuz Dat N**** Jojo Wanted To Be Jus Like Us #LMAO.”

According to the Chicago Tribune, authorities think the murder was related to a gang rivalry between the Brick Squad and the Gangster Disciples.
The day after Coleman’s death, Chicago rapper Lupe Fiasco tweeted that his next album will probably be his final because of the violent culture.
“This album will probably be my last…its been a pleasure to have all my fans provide so much love an inspiration for me and my family, but my heart is broken and I see no comfort further along this path only pain. I cannot participate any longer in this.”
