By Daniel S Levine,

Rihanna walked away with the top prize at last night’s MTV Video Music Awards for Video of the Year, but UK boy band One Direction dominated the night, winning three awards.

“We Found Love,” which also features Calvin Harris, earned Rihanna Video of the Year, while One Direction came away with Best New Artist for “What Makes You Beautiful.” The track also helped the group win Best Pop video and Most Share-Worthy Video.

The night was filled with performances by Rihanna, Pink, Taylor Swift (who performed “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together” live for the first time), Green Day, 2Chainz, Nicki Minaj, Frank Ocean and One Direction.

There was also another pregnancy reveal, with Wiz Khalifa and Amber Rose confirming that they are expecting their first child.
