Robin Roberts continues to share her emotional journey with friends and fans while she bravely battles MDS and undergoes a bone marrow transplant.
According to E! News, the Good Morning America co-host will undergo a bone marrow transplant Thursday in New York City. Her sister is a match and will be the person donating the bone marrow for the procedure.
Roberts has kept her fans in the loop regarding her progress via her blog, only days ago informing fans that she remains strong, but that the chemo is wearing on her. On Sept. 18 she wrote:
“My body is so weak but not my mind. YOU give me the courage to keep going. So today is my last day of chemo... Wednesday is called a day of rest, yay, right! The transplant is scheduled for Thursday morning.”
Thursday, Roberts released a 35-second video on the GMA website.
“This journey is as much about the mind as it is the body. Thoughts are so powerful. You've got to change the way you think in order to change the way you feel. And let me just say this lastly, I feel the love and I thank you for it. Thank you," she said.
