Olympic swimmer Ryan Lochte has lined up another TV acting gig, earning a cameo on NBC’s 30 Rock.
New York Magazine’s The Cut spoke to Lochte Wednesday night at a party at the Four Seasons, where Lochte talked about his upcoming spot on the Tina Fey-created show.
“I know I have the cameo for 30 Rock in the morning, and after that, E! And then Live With Kelly. So I’m all over the place,” he told the site.
Lochte, who has said that he is moving to Los Angeles after the Olympics and hopes to get a job on a reality show, has already added several other TV stints to his resume. Last month, he secured a guest spot on The CW’s 90210 reboot and made his acting debut in a Funny or Die.com video.
He will also start a week-long stint on E! News to cover New York Fashion Week, reports The Hollywood Reporter.
Lochte told The Cut that E! has not briefed him on the basics of covering fashion, but he is prepared and is sure that the more experienced correspondents will help. “I mean, I’m sure I’m going to talk with them tomorrow when I meet with them and everything, and they’ll give me who I’m interviewing and what I’m going to say and stuff like that, so they’ll help me out a lot,” he said.
“I’m gonna be the one interviewing people, which is going to be totally weird. It’s going to be a different role, so I’m definitely gonna — it’s gonna be totally different. Usually I’m the one answering questions, not giving ‘em out, so...” he added.
Since winning five medals in London, including two golds, Lochte has managed to stay in the headlines. Most recently, he was spotted partying with Prince Harry in Las Vegas, although he was not at the party where the infamous nude photos were taken.
30 Rock’s final season premieres on Oct. 4 at 8pm on NBC.
