Shaun White apologizes for Nashville prank

By Sarah Burbank-Douglas,

Olympic gold medalist Shaun White is regretting his drunken prank which resulted him being thrown in jail for both public intoxication and vandalism.

The incident took place over the weekend in Nashville after the 26-year-old snowboarder pulled the fire alarm at the Loews Vanderbilt Hotel around 2a.m., sending hotel guests into a panic evacuating the facility.
White was later booked on misdemeanor charges.

Tuesday, White took to his Facebook page to apologize for the incident writing, “I want to apologize for the unwise choices I made over the weekend and for any inconvenience it caused my family, friends, business partners, the hotel and their guests. I was celebrating a happy occasion with a ton of family and friends and got carried away. I'm truly sorry for my poor behavior.”

White is notorious for his exceptional snowboarding in the 2010 Winter Olympic Games. He has since gone on to compete in the X Games and has made a series of appearances on both TV and film including 2011 Friends With Benefits which starred Justin Timberlake and Mila Kunis.
