30 Rock creator and star Tina Fey will voice a substitute teacher named Ms. Cantwell in an upcoming episode of one of Fox’s longest-running shows, The Simpsons. The episode is titled “Black-Eyed, Please” and airs in the spring next year in the comedy’s 24th season.
Entertainment Weekly exclusively reported that Fey’s character is not too fond about Lisa. She is nice to other students, but bullies Lisa for some odd, mysterious reason.
As reported by Complex, executive producer of the show Al Jean explains the extent of the bullying, "She gives Lisa a ‘B’ and Ralph an ‘A’ even though Ralph signed his paper ‘Ralpa,’...and Lisa has a reading kangaroo with a bunch of little joeys in it for the books that she reads, and [Ms. Cantwell] takes the joeys out and puts them in other kangaroos. Hardcore stuff."
Seems like really kooky and silly stuff, but the thought of Tina Fey on an episode of The Simpsons is a mouthwatering collaboration for comedy fans. The show also has plenty of other guest stars coming on board this upcoming season, which kicks off Sept. 30, including Zooey Deschanel, Anne Hathaway, Natalie Portman, Sarah Michelle Gellar and Sarah Silverman. The aforementioned stars will reprise their roles as Bart’s ex-girlfriends.
Below, check out two videos: the first is of Hathaway describing her excitement at being on the show and the second is a preview of a couple years ago when she appeared on the show.
