When it comes to political matters, what network do you trust to provide the best news coverage?
While many would think that typical news stations would be the most popular choice of Americans during election time, according to a recent press release, Comedy Central’s political coverage has had the highest viewer numbers and ratings.
During elections one of the most important voting groups is today’s youth. Getting political information to college-aged students has never been easier thanks to Comedy Central. Comedy Central reports that more viewers tuned in to watch political coverage on The Daily Show with Jon Stewart and The Colbert Report than on Fox News Channel, MSNBC and CNN.
The comedy network went up against these cable networks during the Republican National Convention last week in Tampa, Florida.
Compared to Fox News, MSNBC and CNN, Comedy Central was top rated as most viewed among adults ages 18 to 34, men ages 18 to 34, and women ages 18 to 24.
To see why the majority of Americans are choosing to watch Comedy Central’s coverage over any cable news network’s coverage, tune in to watch The Daily Show nightly at 11p.m. Political coverage airs every night through Friday, September 7.
