Tony Lucca, who won third place during Season 2 of The Voice, has signed to mentor Adam Levine’s record label 222 Records.
After collaborating with the Maroon 5 frontman on a cover of The Beatles’ “Yesterday,” Lucca said it "was the impetus to do the whole thing.”
“We had a good time working with each other,” he told Billboard. “Ironically, it was an organic relationship (after the show). He didn't put too much stock in me not winning."
Lucca has now been able to work with two The Voice mentors in his lifetime, as he performed with Christina Aguilera as a kid.
Also signed to Levine’s 222 Records is Glee’s Matthew Morrison, Diego Boneta and Rozzi Crane.
The Round Table reports that Lucca, who has already put out four albums, posted a picture of himself signing the deal on Twitter.
Lucca is knownfor his renditions of hits such as "99 Problems" by Jay-Z and X Factor judge Britney Spears' "… Baby One More Time."
