Alpharetta, Georgia police are investigating the car accident that Bobbi Kristina Brown, the only daughter of the late Whitney Houston, and her reported boyfriend, Nick Gordon, were reportedly involved in.
TMZ first reported that Brown and Gordon were in a serious car crash in Alpharetta Sunday night. Gordon was driving and Brown was in the passenger seat of his Camaro. The details are still unclear and it is possible that Gordon’s car was the only vehicle involved.
The site published pictures of the car, which had its airbags deployed, was missing a front tire and the front bumper was torn off.
They managed to get the car back to their apartment, where police discovered the car early Monday morning.
Alpharetta Department of Public Safety told CNN that they knocked on the car owner’s door, but no one answered. The spokesperson stressed that they do believe the car belonged to Gordon, but could not confirm.
The noise complaint that TMZ reported police responded to had nothing to do with Gordon and Brown, police told CNN. They added that they are still unsure of how the accident happened.
While TMZ claims that Brown was in the car, her attorney told CNN that she wasn’t.
Gordon and Brown lived like siblings, but Houston never officially adopted him as her son. The New York Daily News reports that sources have said that the two have only become close since her mother died in February.
The Houston family will be at the center of an upcoming reality show about dealing with the famous singer’s death. It will premiere on Lifetime on Oct. 24.
