‘American Idol’ producers ‘love and support all of the judges’

By Allison Cordaro,

Although auditions on American Idol seemed to have gotten off to a rocky start, thanks to the highly publicized feud between Nicki Minaj and Mariah Carey, the producers of the singing competition released a statement on Friday in support of the new panel of judges.

MTV News reported that the incident was extremely exaggerated, and that production is back on schedule.

Additionally, according to E! Online reported that the producers are thrilled with the “passionate” and “dynamic” panel.

"We love and support all of the judges and the fantastic work they are doing, and we can't imagine a better group to find the next American Idol. Despite all the accusations and media speculation—much of which is inaccurate—production is going extremely well today and the judges are focused on finding the best talent here in Baton Rouge," they said in a statement.

Since TMZ leaked a video of Nicki Minaj cussing out fellow judge, Mariah Carey, there have been several claims that the spat was a publicity stunt in order to boost ratings.

Whether or not the feud was staged, Keith Urban has expressed his excitement working with such passionate judges like Nicki Minaj and Mariah Carey.

"I love working with passionate people. I love artists. Everyone just sort of expressing themselves. It's a very alive and very invigorating work environment. A lot of passion."
