Twilight star Ashley Greene says her stardom from the popular franchise has ruined her.
Us Weekly reported that the 25-year-old starlet – who plays Alice Cullen in the film series– sat down for an interview in the November issue of Marie Claire, where she discussed the reasons for the alleged ruination.
“Twilight has ruined me. When this is all over, flying internationally is going to be very hard for me,” Greene admitted. “It is just not worth it to buy a first class ticket, because of the cost.”
That may come as a surprise to many, considering the actress has probably raked in a fortune for her recurring role in the four installments.
“I’m lucky because my dad taught me to be frugal and save,” Greene said. “And that’s important because I want to know that I don’t have to take an acting job for two or three years if I don’t want to and that I’ll still be able to make my house and car payments and buy food for my dogs.”
The star also discussed the reasoning for her short-lived romances to A-listers Joe Jonas, 23, and Gossip Girl’s Chace Crawford, 27.
“I’m always here and there – everyone in my industry is – and that’s why a lot of relationships are fleeting,” she said. “You go on a couple of dates, and then someone ships off to do a movie. It’s not like you’re going to fly out and see them, because it’s not serious enough for that.”
Greene will return to star alongside Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart, Taylor Lautner and other big-name stars in the upcoming fourth and final installment in the Twilight franchise Breaking Dawn: Part 2, which hits theatres nationwide Nov. 18.
