Ashton Kutcher is the latest celebrity victim of a home invasion prank.
TMZ reported that police were called to the Two and a Half Men actor’s home on Wednesday, when a 911 caller reported that they were in Kutcher’s bathroom, while there were shots being fired, the caller claimed that someone was injured or dead.
It turns out that there really were three people in the actor’s home at the time, but they were people working on it. No one was in the bathroom and there were no injuries when police arrived.
Police later said that they believe Kutcher was the victim of a “swatting” prank, which is similar to the one pulled on Miley Cyrus in August.
Police say that the person who called may have known one of the workers, although none of the workers are suspected of planning the prank.
Police did later hold a press conference, in which a spokesperson said that they received the call via a text message and confirmed that it was a hoax.
Shortly after the press conference, Kutcher, who was not at home at the time, tweeted that he was “Safe an sound at two and a half men.”

Ironically, Kutcher is used to being the one who pulls the prank, as he hosted the original version of MTV’s Punk’d.
