Bayside Set to Release 'Covers - Volume 1'

By Connor Murphy,

Bayside will release their newest EP Covers – Volume 1 on October 23. The punk band from Long Island will be releasing this EP following their fifth studio album, Killing Time released in 2011.

Bayside chose to release the album after their recent tour with Taking Back Sunday. While the band plans to begin working on their next full-length album, they wanted to release this EP of covers for their fans.

Upon the release, Bayside stated, “From conception to release, the 4 members of Bayside have moved this release along. We have been responsible for the funding, planning, recording, marketing and release of the record all on our own.” The band took this EP into their own hands and will release it through their own, Gumshoe Records.

Bayside takes pride in this latest EP. They covered five tracks that they have been inspired by. Artists covered include The Ronnettes, Elvis Costello, Del Shannon, Van Morrison, as well as Billy Joel. Bayside recently released their cover of Billy Joel’s “Moving Out (Anthony’s Song).”

Look for Covers – Volume 1 to come out next week. The album will be available through iTunes and Amazon, as well as the bands website.
