‘Big Bang Theory’ wins ratings, ‘30 Rock’ final season starts slow

The Big Bang Theory continues to get off to a great start this season, easily winning the night for CBS as the top-rated and most-watched show Thursday night. NBC finished in fourth place, with 30 Rock’s final season getting off to a slow start.

CBS won in both viewers and ratings with 13.29 million viewers and a 3.3 18-49 rating for the night. The Big Bang Theory kicked off with 15.38 million viewers and a 4.9 18-49 rating, down just 2 percent from last week, notes Deadline. Two and a Half Men was slightly up with 12.67 million viewers and a 3.7 18-49 rating.

Person of Interest had 14.62 million viewers and a 3.1 key demo rating, while Elementary slipped to 11.22 million and a 2.6 rating, reports HitFix.

ABC came in second with 8.42 million viewers and a 2.5 18-49 rating. The Last Resort lost viewers from last week, drawing 7.9 million and a 1.8 18-49 rating, according to The Wrap. Grey’s Anatomy had 10.6 million and a 3.7 18-49 rating. Scandal finished with 6.8 million and a 2.1 rating.

Fox finished third in viewers with 7.67 million, but had a 2.9 18-49 rating, beating ABC. The X Factor had 9.14 million viewers and a 3.1 18-49 rating, which was steady with last week. Glee was slightly up to 6.2 million and a 2.6 rating.

NBC had a rough night, drawing just 3.5 million viewers and a 1.5 18-49 rating. 30 Rock’s premiere was down 28 percent from last season, drawing 3.4 million viewers and a 1.3 18-49 rating. Up All Night had 3 million and a 1.4 18-49 rating. The Office was steady with 4.1 million and a 2.1 18-49 rating. Parks and Recreation was up to 3.5 million viewers and a 1.9 18-49 rating. Rock Center ended the night with a 1.3 18-49 rating and 3.4 million viewers.

The CW’s The Next finished its season with 902,000 viewers and a 0.6 18-49 rating.
