Bobbi Kristina says she's dealing with mom Whitney Houston's death 'better than I thought I would' (Video)

Whitney Houston’s family’s Lifetime reality show The Houstons: On Our Own will premiere on Wednesday, and while celebrating that, her only daughter, Bobbi Kristina Brown, gave an update on how she’s been since her mother’s passing in February.

“I’m doing okay, I’m doing pretty good. I am doing better than I ever thought I would,” she told Access Hollywood at the premiere party for the show. “Definitely better than I thought I would.”

The 19-year-old, who’s rumored to be engaged to her adopted brother Nick Gordon, 22, continued to explain “What gives me the strength is my family and knowing that she is watching down on us. Watching down and applauding and being happy and smiling and rejoicing, as well as we are, of her life and her legacy.”

“She was an angel,” she added of her mother, “She was an amazing, amazing person. Whoever met her, was attached to her from the beginning, the start… at the very first sight, you’re just attached to her. She was an angel on Earth.”

When it comes to her rumored engagement to Gordon, which we get to see a little bit of in a sneak peak of the show, she said “That’s a surprise, so yeah,” with Gordon adding “We’ll let the viewers watch.”

“Watch and see,” she added.

But Hollywoodlife reports that Houston’s sister-in-law, Pat Houston, might have let it slip on The View that the couple aren’t together anymore.

Pat said “It’s a friendship, they started out as friends,” with Barbara Walters asking “Will you try to break them up?”

“I didn’t have to,” she started to say, then quickly followed up, “It can kind of … sometimes you know … They’re young.”
