The latest cheating scandal gone public centers on country superstar Jason Aldean, who was photographed kissing American Idol contestant Brittany Kerr in a California bar on Wednesday. Now, Kerr has opened up releasing her apology for the highly publicized situation.
E! News reported that, on Tuesday, Kerr released an apology through her publicist which read:
“The actions I portrayed recently were not a representation of my true character, but a lapse in judgment on my part. I would like to sincerely apologize to everyone that has been affected by this, including my friends and family."
The photos of the two were published online Monday and the country crooner quickly turned to Facebook and Twitter to release a public apology.
“The truth is that I screwed up,” he wrote. “I had too much to drink, let the party get out of hand and acted inappropriately at a bar. I left alone, caught the bus to our next show and that's the end of the story. I ultimately ended up embarrassing my family and myself,” he wrote.
The scandal has brought a series of angry fans to take to Kerr’s Twitter page, calling her a “slut” and a “home wrecker." She has since deleted her account.
