On October 6, the cast of Cheers got back together for a 30-year anniversary dinner.
In attendance were Ted Danson (Sam), Shelley Long (Diane), Kirstie Alley (Rebecca), Bebe Neuwirth (Lilith), John Ratzenberger (Cliff), Rhea Perlman (Carla), and George Wendt (Norm).
CBS News reports that Danson told Entertainment Tonight, "It's bizarre to be together, and totally natural at the same time. (It's) right where we left off."
According to the Huffington Post, the anniversary dinner was organized by Cheers creators James Burrows, Glen Charles and Les Charles
Danson has stated the show's success has everything to do with Shelly Long, who won an Emmy for her performance. Danson, along with the rest of the cast shared this opinion.
According to Entertainment Tonight, Danson told Long, "You really put us on the map, and this is not my opinion. This is everybody's. We hadn't seen a character like Diane Chambers for years."
The celebrated show ran for 11 seasons and earned 28 Emmys before ending in 1993.
