The Oscar-winning Shakespeare In Love actress is in talks to produce a Broadway show based on the career of The Go-Gos, sources tell The Hollywood Reporter. Paltrow will co-produce the show with British folk singer Donovan Leitch and Rick Ferrari.

The show will focus on the popular 1980s girl group, which includes Belinda Carlisle, Jane Wiedlin, Charlotte Caffey, Kathy Valentine, Gina Schock and Paula Jean Brown. The Go-Gos are known for several hits, including “We Got The Beat,” “Vacation” and “Our Lips Are Sealed.” They still tour the country and have several dates set for this month through Oct. 14.

THR’s sources say that the group is interested in working closely with the production, including writing new songs.

Paltrow has appeared on the stage before, making her West End debut in a production of Proof, reports Broadway.com. She later starred in the film adaptation.

She is also reportedly producing a movie musical with Glee co-creator Ryan Murphy called One Hit Wonders.

Paltrow is currently working on Iron Man 3, which hits theaters on May 3, 2013.
