When former Real Housewives of New York star Jill Zarin made her return to Bravo after getting cut from the show, she sat down with Andy Cohen on a special Watch What Happens Live.
During the one-on-one interview, Zarin confronted Cohen for “firing" her, saying it felt "like a death.”
She accused him of casting newbie Heather Thompson in her place, of taking sides with her former best friend Bethenny Frankel and favoring Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Lisa Vanderpump’s dog Giggy over her dog Ginger.
Cohen tweeted after the special “I go to great lengths to treat the Housewives equally so I was anxious to hear why Jill felt like I chose sides w/ she & Bethenny. #WWHL.”
Frankel even tweeted “Does it ever amaze you what desperate people will do to stay relevant?”
But now, The New York Post is reporting that a member of Zarin’s entourage secretly recorded the interview, which was edited from 44 minutes to 22, and Bravo isn’t happy about it.
Zarin told Page Six “Someone in my party did use an iPhone, because they love me and wanted to protect me . . . to make sure I remembered what I said, and that what I said was accurately edited. It was for my own protection.”
But Cohen didn’t seem amused, writing, “@Jillzarin if you loved me you wouldn't secretly tape me!”
Caroline Manzo, from Real Housewives of New Jersey has tweeted her support of Cohen, writing to him "@BravoAndy trust, a rare commodity these days.... sending you a big hug from Jersey - ps.... I don't own a tape recorder - ;o)"
