Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez have been dating for almost two years. Justin and Selena's star power definitely attracts attention, but while Bieber would probably appreciate the cameras not intruding on his dates with his girlfriend, he says he doesn't do what most celebrities do.
Justin Bieber recently sat down with Oprah Winfrey for Oprah's Next Chapter, which airs next month. In the interview, the 18-year-old explains that he's not like most celebrity boyfriends because he'd rather brace the media storm with Selena by his side, rather than having her be separate from him.
"Sometimes we gotta take the back exits and do different things, but I never make her separate from me cause I don’t want her to feel like I’m ashamed of her," he told Oprah, according to SFGate. “I feel like a lot of guys do that – especially in the business. They don’t want to be seen with their girl so they’ll make them ride in separate cars and do all that ‘getaway’ stuff."
The "Beauty and the Beat" singer seems very proud of his relationship with the Hotel Transylvania actress, 20, and added, "When we get away, we’re getting away together.”
Oprah's Next Chapter featuring Justin Bieber, airs November 25 on OWN. She has interviewed a ton of big names, but Bieber is the biggest young star in the world today. According to MTV News, Winfrey considers the interview "the biggest thing I've done since Michael Jackson in 1993."
