Justin Bieber is under fire after releasing his newest song, “Beauty and the Beat,” as fans are stating that the 18-year-old singer's rant about his laptop being stolen was a complete PR stunt.
Biebs went on a Twitter rant after his Washington show saying that his laptop and personal camera had gone missing. Shortly thereafter, endless rumors of a naked Biebs surfaced everywhere; and a non-Bieber photoshopped photo surfaced online shortly thereafter causing fans to wonder if they were looking at the member of the famous singer.
Friday, the “Boyfriend” singer revealed a new music video featuring Nicki Minaj via Twitter. After the video surfaced, fans were certain that Biebs’s claims of theft were a hoax to reel fans into watching his newest video.
Deadbolt reports that allegations of a hoax have been rapidly denied by Bieber's publicity team.
What’s more, before the video’s contents were revealed, a disclaimer reads, “In October of 2012, three hours of personal footage was stolen from musician Justin Bieber. The following footage was illegally uploaded by an anonymous blogger.”
The disclaimer further fueled rumors of a hoax in progress, used as a PR stunt to get at least 1 million viewers to watch his newest video.
Check out the video below, do you think the video was released as a PR stunt or is it simply convenient timing?
