After months of speculation, it’s been confirmed that Khloe Kardashian and Extra host Mario Lopez have signed on to become the new hosts of X Factor, replacing Season 1’s Steve Jones.
Lopez tweeted on Tuesday night “Alright guys, it’s official…I’ll be hosting @TheXFactorUSA! Looking forward to working with @SimonCowell and the rest of the amazing team,” while Khloe tweeted, “The rumors are true… I will be hosting @TheXFactorUSA this season!!! SO excited!”

But it’s now being reported by TMZ that the Keeping Up with the Kardashians and Khloe and Lamar star’s deal almost didn’t go through due to E! and Fox not being able to come to an agreement for Kardashian to be on both networks.
However, momager Kris Jenner saved the day, stepping in to negotiate the deal herself so that she made sure her daughter landed it.
Sources close to the situation say Jenner "stepped in over the agents ... over everyone" and made sure both networks came to an agreement so that Kardashian was able to sign on the dotted line.
“She just knows how to make sh*t happen,” said a source of Jenner, who manages all of her kids’ careers.
Lopez and Kardashian will appear as hosts of X Factor when the live shows start next month, joining judges Simon Cowell, Britney Spears, Demi Lovato and L.A. Reid.
