Lindsay Lohan voices support for Mitt Romney

By Sarah Burbank-Douglas,

Liz and Dick actress Lindsay Lohan has come forward to show her support for Republican presidential hopeful, Mitt Romney.

The 26-year-old actress told E! News Thursday that she is concerned about the unemployment rate and thus far will be supporting Romney come election time. "I just think employment is really important right now. So, as of now, Mitt Romney. As of now." LiLo, who was out attending Mr. Pink Ginseng Drink Launch Party, simply tells E!, “It’s a long story.”

A long story indeed. Despite the fact that the red-headed starlet is voicing her political stance, she is not currently registered to vote, Entertainment Today reports. Her publicist informs that the actress not be able to vote now, come November she should be set to lock in her vote. "She is in the process of registering to vote...I believe her papers have been sent in."

Lohan’s name has been predominant in the news this week after she and her mother Dina engaged in a war of words while riding in a limosine. After the two women returned home, Lohan called her father and screamed that her mother was “crazy” and obviously using “cocaine.”

She later retracted her claims, calling into TMZ Live saying, "I told my dad a really hurtful and untruthful lie about my mom. She was not on cocaine.”

Lohan added that daughters “have fights” with their mothers, and this was a simple argument that got out of hand. She is reportedly furious with her father for leaking the phone call which hears Lindsay proclaiming that her mother is “the f***ing devil.”
