Miley Cyrus is taking a tip from Carly Simon as she thinks that the new Jonas Brothers’ song “Wedding Bells” is about her.
According to Huffington Post, Cyrus called into the Ryan Seacrest Show on Thursday to talk about her guest appearance on Two and a Half Men. The talk-show host and American Idol host turned the topic to the new song, asking if she felt that the song was about her to which she confessed, “I don’t know who else is getting married … so I feel like that’s pretty blatant, but it’s whatever.”
She adds, “Like I said, everyone has to write songs that are about things that they felt and he even introduced it as 'this isn’t the way that I am.' So, you can’t ever hate on someone for writing about something you’ve been through," she explained. "I think that you kind of get a fair warning when you date an artist and someone that’s a writer, when you’re going through things, that you’re going to end up hearing about it on the radio.”
Nick Jonas and Miley dated back in 2009. The Hannah Montana actress referred to the singer as “her best friend” but at the time stated that the two of them were uncertain where the relationship would take them. Miley and Nick were 16-year-olds at the time of their relationship.
Currently, Miley is engaged to Hunger Games actor Liam Hemsworth.
