Tron: Legacy actress Olivia Wilde took to the stage last night where she explained that her previous divorce felt like her “vagina died.”
Vulture reports that Wilde appeared for a monologue in These Girls where she confessed to the crowd, which included boyfriend and Horrible Bosses actor Jason Sudeikis, “I felt like my vagina died…Turned off. Lights out ... And you can lie to your relatives at Christmas dinner and tell them everything on the home front is just peachy. But you cannot lie to your vagina.”
After her divorce, the actress confessed that she went through a sexual stint where she openly gave herself to many men- the result was an empty, "lonesome" feeling inside of her.
She then preceded to explain that she is now blissfully in love with her boyfriend, and although the sex with her new beau is amazing, that some rules for 'Olivia Land' must be put into place. Among the rules include that the relationship will not last longer than seven years, as there would be some appreciation in the relationship knowing that there was no “option to renew.” There wouldn’t be cheating in ‘Olivia Land,’ she explains, as there “wouldn’t be the threat of spending forever with one bedfellow.”
The most important rule that will be implemented in 'Olivia Land' followed; the streets are “paved with dark chocolate, and all of the people are free of body hair and menstrual cramps!”
Despite the greatness that may be implied in ‘Olivia Land,’ Wilde explained after the show that the point of the monologue was to show that these rules wouldn’t work in a fantasy world as much as they don’t work in the real world.
According to The Marquee Blog, Wilde’s point is that "men are not allowed to be the only ones thinking with their genitals.”
