Pippa Middleton is busy promoting her new book, Celebrate, and in it the star dishes on life inside the Middleton home, recalling some spooky Halloween memories that she shares with her big sis, Kate Middleton – Princess/Duchess of Cambridge/British royalty.
Us Weekly reports that an excerpt of Pippa’s new work – to be published in the October 28 issue of Parade magazine – reveals that before all the fame, glitz and glam, she and Kate were much like any other Halloween-loving kids.
“As a child, I felt that Halloween was a time when creatures of the night suddenly came to life,” Pippa wrote. “[We] would turn off all the lights in the house and let flickering candlelight conjure up scary shadows and imaginary figures lurking in dark corners.”
Now that she’s matured as a innovative party planner, Pippa says that she infuses that same imagination into the events she puts on. “I frequently celebrate Halloween over a supper with friends. It’s a wonderful excuse to let your imagination run riot with gory-looking food and special effects,” the British beauty explains.
What’s more, the starlet even shares some of her creepy, crawly, holiday treats! “Stir witchy cauldrons of pumpkin soup,” Pippa said. “Hang homemade spiders inside window nooks; string cobwebs on tables; and haunt gardens, attics, and stairways with ghosts made from sheets.”
