During a Friday radio call-in to Miami’s The Yo Show, the President of the United States discussed his thoughts on the reported feud between American Idol judges Nicki Minaj and Mariah Carey.
E! News reported that radio host Michael Yo asked President Barack Obama if he had the ability to mend the alleged tension between the pop powerhouses, and the commander in chief said he thinks the ladies have that ability on their own.
“I think they are going to be able to sort it out. I am confident,” Obama said. “I am all about brining people together, working for the same cause. I think both outstanding artists are going to be able to make sure that they’re moving forwards and not going backwards.” And President Obama also revealed who his favorite of the two artists is. “Mariah, she’s actually done some events for us. I’ve gotten to know her and Nick [Cannon]. She’s a wonderful lady. Nicki, I don’t know, but I’ve got her on my iPod.”
According to NBC News, President Obama is gearing up for a sure-to-be heated face-off, as he and Governor Mitt Romney are scheduled for a second presidential debate on Tuesday night.
