Although he is faced with some of America’s most pressing questions and decisions, President Barack Obama took to Y100’s Michael YO! Show, where he discussed the most recent celebrity war of words between American Idol judges Nicki Minaj and Mariah Carey.
The leader of the free world touched on several other issues, like his debate with Republican Governor Mitt Romney, but what is catching the most attention is his discussion on the Minaj-Carey blow-up where Minaj told Carey she was going to knock her out and later mumbling that if she had a gun she would shoot her.
Obama admitted that reality TV wouldn’t be a good place for him, but that he hopes the women can work out their issues.
“You know what, I think they are going to be able to work it out…I’m all about bringing people together,” Obama states.
He also noted that he likes Carey, and she and her husband Nick Cannon have worked on events with him before. Obama did not lean to favoritism though, noting that he does have Minaj on his iPod.
Obama discussed his most recent debate with Romney, saying that he did, in fact have an off night. He admits, “There’s no doubt that I had an off-night…He had a sharp presentation but his ideas are still ones that aren’t going to work for America and aren’t going to work for your listeners. And so we’re just going to keep on going.”
