Private Practice star Audra McDonald walked down the aisle and wed her adorable Broadway groom Will Swenson on Saturday night.
E! News reports that the lovebirds exchanged vows during a very intimate and private ceremony at their home in Croton-on-Hudson, New York. McDonald reportedly wore a wedding gown by designer Esosa.
McDonald and Swenson have both been married before – each share children with former spouses – but fell in love after meeting in 2007. Swenson proposed to his lovely lady during a New Year’s vacation in Puerto Rico.
According to People, McDonald starred as Dr. Naomi Bennett on ABC’s Grey’s Anatomy spin-off for four seasons, but returned to her Broadway roots in January 2012. The actress starred in the Tony Award-winning remake of Porgy and Bess, which recently completed a record-breaking 322 performances. McDonald, who attended Juilliard where she trained in singing and acting, starred as the lead role of Bess.
As for her hubby, Swenson most recently starred as Tick in the Broadway production of Priscilla Queen of the Desert.
