Taylor Swift to host CBS’ Grammy nominations special with LL Cool J

By Daniel S Levine,

Just after announcing her upcoming North American tour for her Red album, Taylor Swift has booked another gig. She will co-host CBS’ Grammy nominations special with LL Cool J in December.

According to E! News, Swift and LL will host The GRAMMY Nominations Concert Live!! — Countdown To Music's Biggest Night on Dec. 5 at 10pm. Swift previously hosted the first Grammy nominations special in December 2008 with LL.

The NCIS: LA actor has co-hosted every nominations special since they began, notes Deadline.

The Grammy nominations special has become an annual event for the Recording Academy, in an effort to help boost ratings for the Grammy ceremony itself. The hour-long special includes announcements of the nominees in the major categories and performances from several artists. This year’s show will feature Swift, Luke Bryan and Maroon 5.

In August, the Academy announced that the 2012 special will be the first to be broadcast from the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville.

The 55th annual Grammy Awards will air on CBS on Sunday, Feb. 2013 live from the Staples Center in Los Angeles.

Swift also recently announced that she will tour North America with Ed Sheeran for Red. The album also includes a collaboration with the British singer.
