Former Saturday Night Live compatriots Tina Fey and Amy Poehler were announced Tuesday to be the hosts of the 70th Annual Golden Globe Awards.
“The unparalleled comedic timing of Tina and Amy will surely have viewers wanting to tune-in to see them in action. The HFPA is thrilled to have the magnetic duo be a part of the show’s 70th anniversary!” said Hollywood Foreign Press Association President Dr. Aida Takla-O’Reilly, according to Screen Rant.
Since their departures from SNL Fey and Poehler have continued their success with their roles in the respective NBC sitcoms Parks and Recreation and 30 Rock.
NBC will also air the Golden Globes Jan. 13.
"Having both Tina Fey and Amy Poehler on board to host this year's festivities is a major coup," said NBC president of alternative and late night programming Paul Telegdy, according to AP.
"Tina and Amy have a proven chemistry and comedic timing from their many years together on 'SNL' to their successful co-starring roles in 'Baby Mama.'"
