Tom Hiddleston is joining the new Joanna Hogg untitled project, known simply as “London Project."
Hiddleston (The Avengers) joins Viv Albertine, who was part of the female punk band The Slits, and Liam Gillick, a conceptual artist, according to the Hollywood Reporter.
The film will be produced by Gayle Griffiths (My Brother the Devil) and presented by the British Film Institute, BBC Films and Rooks Nest Entertainment. The movie will shoot in and near West London for six weeks.
Speaking about the project, Hogg says, “I continue to be fascinated by the blurred line between the comic and the horrendous - but depicting this in an ordinary, everyday context which is closer to home, and therefore more terrifying."
The entire film is a mystery right now, but Hogg is writing and directing the movie, according to The Fan Carpet.
Hiddleston was a part of Hogg’s film, Archipelago, and his first time acting in a movie was in her first film, Unrelated.
Hiddleston is often recognized for his role as Loki in the Marvel films Thor and The Avengers. He will also be appearing in the second Thor movie, Thor: The Dark World.
Shooting on the film has started.
