Former star of The Hills, Whitney Port, attended Thursday’s grand opening of Kyle by Alene Too - a Beverly Hills boutique venture by The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Kyle Richards - where she dished on growing apart from her cast mates on the hit MTV reality show.
Port told People that separating from her past on-screen friends wasn’t heartbreaking or undesired, but rather a natural change. “I think we all kind of went our separate ways once the show ended,” the 27-year-old said. “I’m fine with it, like I’m at peace with it. With me, I never feuded with anyone, and nothing ever ended badly, so it just naturally happened that [I lost touch with people].”
Port did reveal that she runs into ex-best friend Lauren Conrad every now and then, but clarifies that she doesn't feel The Hills “scarred me for life, but it definitely made a mark.”
According to the Daily Mail, the star now focuses on her clothing line, Whitney Eve, which she recently launched at New York Fashion Week.
Port said, “The Whitney Eve girl is someone who loves fashion, has a lot of fun with it; is not afraid to take risks and loves textiles, color and patterns.”
