50 Shades of Grey fever is now hitting the cook book industry. A hilarious parody trailer for 50 Shades of Chicken has hit the web, teaching 50 Shades fans that cooking chicken can be just as sexy as Christian Grey and Anastasia Steele’s adventures.
The trailer is for an actual book, titled Fifty Shades of Chicken: A Parody in a Cookbook, which hits bookshelves on Tuesday. According to The New York Daily News, the book’s recipes include Mustard Spanked Chicken, Learning to Truss You and Dripping Thighs. Even the author’s name is a parody of E.L. James. Fifty Shades of Chicken is credited to F.L. Fowler.
“Like so many others, Fifty Shades of Grey resonated for me,” Fowler told People magazine back when the book was first announced in September. “It evoked something I'd never been able to express. Then one day as I was tying up the ankles of a chicken for roasting, I realized why some of the scenes in the book were so strikingly familiar. It turns out I've been practicing BDSM for years – but with poultry.”
Fifty Shades of Chicken tells the story of Miss Chicken, who “finds herself at the mercy of a dominating man, in this case, a wealthy, sexy, and very hungry chef,” according to the publisher’s description on Amazon.
