Amy Winehouse's wedding dress stolen from her North London home

By Gina DiFalco,

The late Amy Winehouse’s wedding dress has been stolen.

Winehouse’s father, Mitch Winehouse, has confirmed that his daughter’s dress she wore to her 2006 wedding to Blake Fielder-Civi has been stolen from the London home she passed away in.

According to E! Online, the dress is worth about $210,000, and it was going to be auctioned off to benefit the Amy Winehouse Foundation before being stolen. It was estimated it would fetch about $161,000.

"It's sickening that someone would steal something in the knowledge of its sentimental value," Mitch told The Sun.

But that’s not all the thief took from the home in Camden, which is located in North London. Also taken was a dress that the “Rehab” singer wore on the BBC show Later…With Jools Holland, which was supposed to go for about $48,000. Mitch stated he was surprised other valuable dresses weren't taken as well.

“A few people were involved, and there was some coming and going," said Winehouse’s father. "We're going through everything else to see what else, if anything, has been lifted."

The home that Winehouse died in has since been turned into a shrine, which her fans have created. They're in the process of selling it, and Mitch said there was a window of a couple days that is likely to have been the time frame for the intruders.
