The final film in the Twilight Saga, Breaking Dawn Part 2, hit theaters last week. Now that the series has come to an end, would the cast return if Stephenie Meyer ever decided to continue the story or a remake was in the works?
Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson have already said they’d return to the roles that made them superstars if another film were to be made, but not everyone would be on board.
Ashley Greene, who plays Alice, says she doesn’t want to do anymore Twilight films because she’s satisfied with the way it ended.
"At first I thought that I would -- but I feel like I've had such an experience and we're kind of ending at the top of our games,” she told The Hollywood Reporter. I'm so content with the experience I've had that I wouldn't want to do it again. And I think that someone else should be able to experience this.”
The 25-year-old says, when it comes to a possible remake down the road, age is a factor, too.
“I'm definitely getting older, as much as I don't want to say it. Vampires don't age. So by the time that they re-did it, I wouldn't be right for Alice anymore."
While Greene doesn’t plan to return to her role, that isn’t to say she isn’t grateful for the films and the fans.
Calling Alice her “favorite character to date,” she said, "You don't get this all the time. You don't get this for 99.9 percent of the films that you make. And to have been exposed to this kind of undying loyalty and for so long is definitely something I'm going to miss."
So, what’s next for Ashley Greene? According to what she told The Huffington Post, something very different from Alice Cullen.
“It's all about doing different things and going outside my comfort zone…It's important that people know you can portray different characters. If they don't see that, how are they supposed to know you can do it? I want to do a little bit of everything.”
