Bing releases most searched celebrities of 2012

By Sarah Burbank-Douglas,

Bing has compiled a list of the most searched people and Keeping Up with the Kardashians reality star Kim Kardashian has taken the number one spot.

According to USA Today, Kardashian made the number one spot once held by Justin Bieber. He has been dropped down to number two, followed by Miley Cyrus, Rihanna, Lindsay Lohan, Katy Perry, Selena Gomez, actress Jennifer Aniston, Nicki Minaj and Taylor Swift.

Additionally, with a new winner crowned, three stars from last year’s list have been bumped. Noticeably absent stars include Lady Gaga, Britney Spears, new mom Megan Fox and Jennifer Lopez.

Blue Ivy and Psy’s “Gangnam Style,” which recently bumped Bieber from the most viewed YouTube video, also made the cut, Fox News reports.

USA Today notes that although there was a lot of hype surrounding this year’s presidential elections, the election had no bearing on the search results as Mitt Romney and President Barack Obama hit the list at 43 and 46.
