Britney Spears’s family wins court battle against Sam Lutfi

By Mallory Hatten,

After a three-year legal face-off between Britney Spears’s family and the singer’s ex-manager Sam Lutfi, the case has been thrown out by a Los Angeles judge, ultimately meaning that the Spears family wins.

People reports that Lutfi filed suit against Brit for unpaid managerial fees, her father, Jamie, for supposedly punching him and her mom, Lynne, for defaming his character in her 2008 book titled Through the Storm: A Real Story of Fame and Family in a Tabloid World.

But Superior Court Judge Suzanne Bruguera dismissed the case, saying, “I really thought long and hard about this. It’s the right thing to do.”

According to Fox News, Lutfi failed to prove any of the claims he made against Spears and her family, including a statement that the princess of pop did hardcore drugs in her home during the time frame he worked for her as a manager.

Lutfi also claimed that 15 percent of the X Factor judge's earnings belonged to him and that because of the words published in Lynne’s tell-all book, he suffered several death threats.

But despite all the legal drama, Spears looked beautiful and composed during Wednesday night’s first live showing of this season’s The X Factor.
