Bruce Springsteen, Bon Jovi, Sting, Christina Aguilera and Billy Joel headlining Hurricane Sandy relief concert

By Gina DiFalco,

Bruce Springsteen, Bon Jovi, Sting, Christina Aguilera and Billy Joel are among the stars doing what they can to support those affected by Hurricane Sandy.

NBC announced on Thursday that they will be performing a benefit concert to benefit those in need, who were hit by the super storm.

Rolling Stone reports that Matt Lauer will host the event, called Hurricane Sandy: Coming Together, and it will take place on Friday at 8pm.

In addition to being streamed on NBC.com, it will air on NBC, USA, MSNBC, CNBC, Bravo, E!, Style Network and G4.

The funds raised will go to the Red Cross, USA Today reports.

Springsteen, Bon Jovi and Joel all have a personal connection to the relief efforts, as Springsteen and Bon Jovi are from New Jersey and Joel comes from Long Island, New York -- all among the areas badly affected by the storm.

To help out, go to RedCross.org or call 1-800-RED-CROSS, or text the word REDCROSS to 90999 to make a $10 donation.
