Bruce Springsteen, The Who and Paul McCartney to perform concert to benefit victims of Hurricane Sandy

Paul McCartney, Bruce Springsteen and The Who, among many others, are set to perform a benefit concert for the victims of Hurricane Sandy.

New York Daily News reports that the star-studded event is set to take place on December 12 at the Garden. In addition to Paul McCartney, Springsteen and The Who, Jon Bon Jovi, Billy Joel, Alicia Keys, Roger Waters and Kanye West are also set take the stage for the benefit concert, with many other performers set to be announced.

Producers Jon Sykes, James Dolan and Harvey Weinstein released a statement saying, “12-12-12' is shaping up to be a showcase of musical royalty. The response of the entertainment community to help those most affected by Sandy has been nothing short of astounding."

Thus far, tickets are not on sale, but an announcement will be made when they become available.

Other celebrities who have pulled together to donate to the victims of the October 29 storm include Carrie Underwood, Justin Bieber, Lady Gaga and Rihanna, among others.
