Fans of Carly Rae Jepsen will get to spend New Year’s eve with their favorite singer. The “Call Me Maybe” singer and the band Neon Trees have been added to the list of performers for ABC’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve.
Earlier this month, Taylor Swift was announced as the headlining act for the show, which will be hosted again by Ryan Seacrest. It will be the first show since creator Dick Clark’s death earlier this year.
Swift, Jepsen and Neon Trees will perform from Times Square, while the West Coast party will be hosted by The Black Eyed Peas’ Fergie, notes MTV News.
The West Coast performers include Brandy, Karmin, Pitbull, OneRepublic and Flo Rida. More performers will be added before the show starts on Dec. 31 at 10pm Eastern.
ABC also said that the network will pay tribute to Clark with a two-hour special starting at 8pm called New Year's Rockin' Eve Celebrates Dick Clark. Fergie and Jenny McCarthy will host the clip show, which will feature footage of Clark’s best moments.
McCarthy will also be on hand for the live portion, interviewing the Times Square crowd.
Entertainment Weekly notes that Clark created the show in 1972. Seacrest has been guest hosting the show since 2005.
Last year’s show featured Beyonce, Justin Bieber and Lady Gaga.
